Danielle’s Community Involvement
Danielle has been involved extensively in community projects, including serving on a local daycare board; as past president of the Kootenay Bar Association, and as past chair of the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. She is a past member of the Board of Governors for the Law Foundation of British Columbia. In that role, she oversaw the distribution of funds for projects and programs that benefit the public in the following areas: legal education, legal research, legal aid, law reform, and law libraries. She has been a speaker at a number of courses through the Continuing Legal Education Society and the Trial Lawyers Association. Danielle has served as a member of the Mental Health Review Board where she was the chair of review panel hearings conducted under the Mental Health Act. She is a member of the Trial Lawyer’s Association of BC.
Stewart’s Community Involvement
In the past, Stewart has been active in the Kinsmen Club, his Church Council, and the District Recreation Project Society. He also was a member of the Rossland Neighbourhoods of Learning Committee, the Director of the Cranbrook Youth Soccer Association, and the Continuing Legal Education director of the East Kootenays for more than 15 years. He has also served as Vice President of a local provincial political riding association, as Director of the local Brain Injury Association, as Advisor to the Judicial Council of BC in selecting provincial court judges, and as a member of the Auto Insurance Committee of the Canadian Bar Association – BC branch. Currently Stewart is a member of the Canadian Bar Association(previously as an elected representative for the Kootenays), as a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC (past member of the Board of Governors) and as a member of the Alberta Trial Lawyer’s Association
